Heather,
Am working on getting better organized and your tips pointed me in that direction. Yes, it is easy to make excuses, but remembering that it takes 29 days to break a habit, I'm trying to begin one good practice until it's a habit and then move on to the next one. So as Dr. Dyer so aptly puts it, "Excuses Begone"!

Hi Heather,

Your right on with this post... successful entrepreneurs are all about getting things done.

One thing that I have found helpful is to make sure that the tasks I write down are as simple as possible. I don't mean easy. I mean so small that I don't have to think too much about doing them.

For example, instead of "record new video"... I'll break it down to its simpler parts: "brainstorm video idea", "write down main points of video", "prepare equipment for recording", "record video", "edit video", etc.

This might seem like a lot, but its easier for your brain to wrap around these single, simple tasks rather than the big task "record new video". And, I can complete a single task without having to complete the entire process. Less reason to procrastinate, and visible progress toward my goals.

Awesome post Heather!

I have my daily top 5 and I time block the first working hour of every single day, dedicating that to my #1 priority, so no matter what, the absolute most important, progressive, profitable tasks are done. The other 4 fall right into place before noon most days.

I joined your FriendConnect too :)

Thank you, Patrick. I wrote this as a message not only to all of you, but to myself as well...now and again, a little reminder is needed. :-)

Heather, I picked out something profound
you said,THE EGO HATES CHANGE and will do anything in its power to see to it that everything stays the same within its own comfort level. "

I am keeping this as a reminder to myself to pick out the person who I need to be listening to.

I felt like you were talking to me about my slacking tendencies.
thanks.
