*Keepin' It Real* – Being Honest With Who You Truly Are And Finding Your Own Unique Path
Posted by Heather Taskovics · 17 Comments
For many network marketing entrepreneurs, the desire to mold oneself to reflect those who have garnered renowned success and riches is normal; however, just because a certain path works for one person, does not necessarily mean that it is going to work for you. There is a plethora of *How I Made Millions And You Can Too!* information out there that it be rather daunting. And frustrating…especially when you follow the instructions to a *T* and still do not see the same success as the person who created the training course.
So what is a network marketer to do? What is the *secret ingredient* to creating the ultimate wealth and success that you deserve?
The answer for you may be found in the following video:
So take the time to learn and discover where your talents lie, as opposed to forcing yourself to be exactly like someone else. Educate yourself on all you can at first, then pick one or two aspects of network marketing–or whatever your niche may be–that really interest you and master them before moving on to another one. You may discover that you have a knack for article marketing…or perhaps your genius lies in creating powerful videos. Only YOU can figure that out.
In addition to reading and absorbing as much information as you can about whatever niche you choose, be sure to take some time to devote to your inner well being. You may want to meditate or pray…or read religious or self-help books. In addition, you can do yoga, Pilates, dancing, running or any other physical exercise that will help rejuvenate your soul and body, which can put you in a more improved mental state that is conducive to deciding what your true path is.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by *information overload* and need help figuring it all out to determine what works best for you, I would be happy to guide you. You may contact me at coaching@heathertaskovics.net for a FREE 30-min consultation.

What Are You Waiting For??? - Becoming An Organized Entrepreneur by Heather Taskovics on August 31st, 2009
Being an entrepreneur is one of the most exciting and rewarding professions to become--having your own business, being your own boss and no longer "working for the MAN"--however, as entrepreneurs, there are so many things we want (or need) to do to make our businesses successful, but we always seem to find reasons NOT to do them.

Thank you so much for this Heather. We all do have that tendency to follow others like a leech and then get angry when efforts don’t result like theirs. I fall into that pit myself. But hearing you say it, that we have to find our way of growing that is comfortable to achieve success reinforces that “yes, I CAN do it!” Thanks so much!

Each of us is unique – and thus offers something that no one else can (the same way). Ironically, the most personal is also often the most universal – and the best way for others to connect and care. While it is wise to learn from others, it is when we are most ourselves that usually brings the most benefit. Imitation may be flattering, but so is inspiring originality. Thanks for the reminder to seek out, develop, and share what may matter most. And thanks for being the one and only you!

Heather,
This is right on point and perfect timing as I develop my business strategy. What you are saying goes hand in hand with the different types of personalities that are out there. With my personality, I do things more systematically and I look at the logic of how something will work for me.
So, thank you for reminding me of how important it is to stick with what works for me. As I talk with others about their goals and aspirations in life, I will remember to remind them to do the same because it’s very important just to be yourself. Keeping it real is the best thing we can do for ourselves.
Thank you for this enlightening message!

Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments. I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you.

Great and always timely advice, Heather. You simply make sense in your post and not only that, in your video you model being you and no one else. It’s like having a friendly chat with Heather, not your mentor or guru speaking through you. I enjoyed meeting you here. I love what you have to say and how you say it.
Hi Heather, you bring up a good point here. Staying true to who you are and your passions then “finding out what works for you” is so important. Even if you had a whole group of people doing the same thing, each of us would bring our own unique spin to it. Vital to maintain who we are in the process of studying and modeling success. Thanks for sharing!

Enjoyed your video Heather! I have been down the path of following someone else and it just didn’t work. Yes, it’s great to learn from other people, but take that knowledge and follow your own path. The paradigm is shifting and we have an incredible opportunity to express our uniqueness. Thanks for a great post.
Thanks Heather for the great information. Where were you when I got started in the business.
In the world on network marketing there is so much hype and slick marketing. It is difficult for the new person to know who to follow and what areas they should focus on.
The great news is that your wisdom and coaching can help anyone be who they on all levels while following a proven path for success.
Thanks for you leadership!
You have a choice so, make it a better than terrific day!

This is cool Heather! So many people try and live up to the expectations of others and they forget who they really are. It’s important to find your own path and blaze that trail instead of someone else’s.
Hi Heather,
You get right to the Catch-22 of success in this post and your video. On the one hand, in order to become successful, we must study others who have gone before us and achieved what we ourselves are looking to achieve. On the other hand, in order to become successful, we must also forge our own path. There is no cookie-cutter approach to success despite the illusion that some “gurus” suggest there is. At the end of the day, each of us must walk our own path, using the wisdom we have picked up from others to make choices that are unique to us.
I like how transparent you are in this video about what it takes to be successful in Network Marketing.

This one thing will determine if someone
is successful or not. When we find our true
passion… and keep it real… we are set on
the path to true fulfillment.

Heather,
Thanks for that reminder about how important it is to just be who you are and stop comparing yourself to other people. I recently became aware of just how much progress I have made on my path, so I am taking the time to be grateful rather than feeling frustrated when I see others attain what I am seeking. I am loving what is and taking action towards manifesting my desires.
I am encouraged and a bit tickled when I think that I might actually inspire someone else. It’s all just a big circle.

Hey Heather,
I totally agree with you.. there’s no reason to compare ourselves with others because ultimately, it only leads to frustrations and a lack of motivation..
thanks for sharing this and re-focusing my focus..

For real! So many people forget who they are when following recipes. You loose your authenticity. Heather- I think this is something that is such a strength for you. When you work with people, others can really understand who you are. You are you. and that is a really attractive force in life and business.

Heather thanks for your good advice – choosing what you want to do especially with online marketing is sometimes a very hard decision to make – especially when there are so many options available. Taking your time and really exploring your talents and discovering what you like to do, what you are passionate about is key in being happy with your ultimate decision. And you know, you don’t have to do just one thing – you can have multiple streams of income that reflect your interests. Thanks Heather!
