Is It Just Coincidence?

I was watching an episode of “Martha Speaks” (a show on PBS about a dog who can talk because she ate too much vegetable soup) with my daughter today. Martha believed that because she walked under a ladder she was cursed and that whoever she was near would be cursed as well. Her belief that she was cursed was so strong that she ACTUALLY saw bad things happen not only to her, but to everyone else around her!
In the end, Martha learned that whenever she feels like everything is going wrong, she should focus more on positive things: like spending time with friends and enjoying herself or thinking good thoughts. Once she had a more positive outlook, everything started to get better for her and she was no longer cursed.
How often have we all felt “cursed” at times in our lives? You’re running late for work and end up in bad traffic. You lose your job then the car breaks down. It just seems that whenever you feel you are at your worst, life throws you another blow.
That is because when your energy is low and negative, you attract more negative energy. Adding to that energy is the STRONG BELIEF that bad things will always happen to you.
All I have to say to this is: Get over yourself and STOP IT RIGHT NOW!
YOU ARE IN CONTROL of your attitudes and feelings. YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS FROM NEGATIVE TO POSITIVE. If you are experiencing a negative situation, it’s perfectly okay to feel bad about it. The key thing is to get past it and move on–don’t dwell on it and wallow in your own self-pity. Just take a moment to acknowledge what has happened and then do something positive to overcome it. Once you have a STRONG BELIEF that EVERYTHING WILL BE OK, you will be able to overcome anything that comes your way!
REMEMBER: Something good ALWAYS comes from something bad.
Here’s another thing to remember: GOOD THINGS WILL COME TO YOU BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT. And that’s a fact.
Once you truly believe this, you can more and more easily deal with unfortunate situations. At the same time, the more open you are to positive energy, the more that good things and great opportunities will come your way! YOU DESERVE TO BE HAPPY…ALWAYS!
I’m so grateful to be able to share this with you.
I would love to know your thoughts. Please leave a comment below. If you like what you’ve read, sign up for my blog and feel free to share the link on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc.
Namaste,

"This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
